Trust is where it all begins.   A tiny seed planted in the spring, grown dignified to feed your soul, mind, and the body wholesome.   Its enrichment brightens one’s day.

At Sherwood Farm, we certainly believe in taking a natural approach to the food that’s cultivated, prepared and shared by our family, friends and you.   What is natural is good.  It is that simple.

Here we grow over 90 varieties of vegetables, some of which have been entrusted to us by local gardeners, chefs, immigrants and everyday people who want to preserve that irreplaceable something special found in their heirloom seeds.

Fresh greens and sweet, juicy strawberries in early June begins our annual start to the bounty of food we wish to share with you. We believe nothing is better than having locally grown food picked at its peak on your plate.

In addition, our produce is purchased direct from us by restaurants and small independent food retailers only in neighboring communities. In Fairfield, Connecticut, customers can find Sherwood’s produce seasonally featured at Barcelona and Vino on the Brick Walk. In Darien, Connecticut, patrons at Palmer’s Market will also find our fresh produce.

We like to answer any questions about what we have here. School groups can arrange to tour the farm with prior notice and our store is wheelchair accessible. We support everyone’s good health and well being, so listen to your heart and your Mother….eat your vegetables!
